The key design decision in Immersive Translate is that it never covers the original: translations are inserted paragraph by paragraph beneath it, so you can check against the source while reading technical docs. You can plug in your own API key or use the built-in engines. Its PDF and video subtitle handling is the best in class.

Install steps
- Search for Immersive Translate in the extension store and add it
- Choose a translation engine on first use (your own key works too)
- Set the target language and turn on bilingual mode
