Our verdict
WPS's moat is the Chinese office scenario: official document templates, red-header files and Chinese spreadsheet formulas that Office 365 will never build. The AI features — continue writing, polish, generate formulas — are already good enough for daily work. The cost is upsell pop-ups, and cloud sync across devices is less consistent than OneDrive.
Pros
- The most complete Chinese official document templates
- High compatibility with Office formats
- Far cheaper than a Microsoft subscription
Cons
- The free version shows ads and pop-ups
- Collaboration and cloud sync trail Office
- Macros and advanced features are cut down
